IMB 2006 Report Tajima shows the World Apparel and Textile Industry why it is truly the leading Solutions Provider for embroidery and other embellishment! Over four days in May - the 10th through the 13th 2006 -thousands of apparel and textile business professionals saw the latest innovations in the embroidery industry... all in one place at The Tajima Group's IMB booth. The Tajima booth was one of the largest in Hall No. 9 at the Koelnmesse Exhibit Center, covering almost 1,650 sq. ft. Within this booth, Tajima displayed nine different embroidery machines covering seven series of the Tajima line. Additionally Tajima organized special seminars to introduce new embroidery techniques and know-how to visitors, plus showed live demonstrations of its DG/ML by Pulse embroidery data systems on five personal computers, and exhibited 8 kinds of fabric samples and more than 50 samples of embroidered products. With all of this embroidery experience, technology and information on display, one could easily see that Tajima lived up to its show theme, "Solutions Provider". The wide range of exhibits attracted a record number of participants to the booth, from all over the globe. The action in the booth was always at a peak with crowds around all of the different machines - sometimes 2 and 3 deep - as well as tremendous interaction with Tajima personnel as they demonstrated different techniques both with the machines as well as during the software presentations. Although there were a great many new advancements being introduced at IMB, there were some standouts that bear particular mention. TFGN series with "WJ" specification sews twice the number of colors Of all the models, the TGFN garnered the most attention at IMB, due to the addition of a new frame driving system with a "WJ" specification. "WJ" specification allows you to embroider a design using two heads next to each other that together sews twice as many colors as each head individually. For example, a maximum of 6 colors are usually available for 6-needle heads but the "WJ" specification now enables multicolor embroidery of up to 12 colors. Also if a machine is equipped with two sequin devices on both sides of the embroidery heads, a maximum 4 kinds of sequins can be added to an embroidery design. This allows you to create fantastic combinations of thread colors and sequin colors, shapes and sizes in combination within a single design. Another feature that was displayed at the show on the TFGN was a method of continuous embroidery of roll fabric in both right and left directions without the use of the Automatic Frame Changer (AFC).
Exclusive specialty embroidery machines with patented technologies also featured Crowds at IMB were also thrilled with a range of specialty embroidery machines including the TMLH lock stitch and TCMX chenille/mixed series, both with capabilities based on Tajima patents Tajima's TMLH Series presented a demonstration of embroidery with new sub-materials such as bead cords or sequin cords to show the flexibility and variety in embellishment afforded to the fashion industry by Tajima technology. The mixed type TCMX series also drew a large crowd thanks to the industry's maximum number of paired chenille and embroidery heads (fifteen) as well as high speed operation that exhibited tremendous productivity capacity.
Single-heads made even more productive with Auto Clamp Tajima also showed a new twist on its already industry-leading single-head models. An auto clamp frame has now been added for easy attachment or detachment of embroidered products for true one-touch operation. This is in addition to the conventional cylindrical and border frames. The Tajima auto clamp frame allows attachment or detachment of various products like towels, T-shirts, jumpers, carrying bags etc, with ease in an instant, dramatically improving productivity
DG/ML by Pulse system demonstrated Tajima's sophisticated, yet easy-to-use embroidery data making system - DG/ML by Pulse - was demonstrated constantly during the four days at five different workstations. With so many options available, each workstation was focusing on different capabilities within the system, getting great reviews for meaningful features, high compatibility with Tajima embroidery machines, and flexibility. Additionally, the systems' advanced networking capabilities received high marks from the attendees.
A broad array of samples to show capabilities Various kinds of fabric and product samples sewn and embellished on Tajima equipment were collected from around the world through and spotlighted at the booth. This elaborate display included a wide range of samples made using diversified methods and fashionably displayed: fabric samples in a pendant configuration hung from the ceiling, product samples displayed on mannequins, and caps, bags, scarves in transparent showcases. Tajima staffers were always on hand to give visitors complete explanations on the embroidery process or other information.
Seminars on embroidery techniques scheduled AⅡ day, Every day A broad array of embroidery techniques were detailed to visitors through live seminars scheduled throughout the four days of IMB. These seminars utilized embroidered samples, posters/ photography and video images to teach new techniques to attendees. These seminars were extremely well-attended, with many visitors stating that they learned a tremendous amount of new information that they were going to bring back to their home companies. Some of the subjects covered by Tajima staff included Continuous Embroidery with Border Frame, Beads Cord and Sequin Cord Embroidery, Sequin Embroidery in Eccentric or Various Shapes, Super Fine Thread Embroidery with 40d/2, and more. Tajima also polled attendees to see what future seminars should cover. All-in-all the IMB 2006 show was an extraordinary success both for Tajima and visitors to the booth. Tajima looks forward to continuing as the leading company in the embroidery industry, serving our customers by providing even more and better capabilities and technology as time goes on.
