Tajima Supports Uniform Production for EXPO 2025 Osaka Pavilion “LiveEarth Journey” Produced by Shoji Kawamori
Tajima Industries Ltd. (Headquarters: Aichi, JAPAN; President: Hidetoshi Kojima, hereinafter “Tajima”) is pleased to announce its collaboration in the creation of embroidered patches for the attendant uniforms of the signature pavilion “Live Earth Journey” at EXPO 2025 Osaka. Produced by renowned animation director and mechanical designer Shoji Kawamori, the pavilion explores the theme of “Life-Nurturing” and portrays the interconnectedness of living beings. The embroidered patches, featuring the dynamic and transformable pavilion logo inspired by various life forms, will embellish the uniforms worn by pavilion attendants.

Expressing the World of “Live Earth Journey” Through Embroidery
Character designer Risa Ebata, known for her costume designs in animation and other creative works, designed the uniforms with the motif of real-world functionality. Tajima reproduced her vision through embroidery, under the direction of CLASS EARTH Inc. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Haruka Takagishi), the SDGs advisor to the pavilion.
The patches incorporate gradient embroidery—a technique known for its complexity—to faithfully represent the visual essence of the pavilion’s logo and key graphics. Additionally, fine details such as the text “EXPO2025” and “LIVE EARTH JOURNEY” are accentuated using gold and silver threads, enhancing both delicacy and impact.

The fusion of art and science inherent in embroidery extends beyond decoration and contributes to addressing societal issues. We continue to refine and expand our technology to create a sustainable future for all living beings. In resonance with the pavilion’s message on the importance of life’s cycles and connections, Tajima Group is committed to evolving as a company that inspires hope and responsibility for future generations.
