Collection

Mr. Okamura is known internationally for his abstract oil paintings, which are characterized by a unique use of muted colors blended with white, creating a harmonious and distinctive aesthetic. This collaboration reinterprets his bold color palette, sense of depth, and organic brushstrokes through the medium of embroidery, offering a fresh perspective on textile expression.

*The artwork “scale” (center), created by Mr. Okamura, is expressed using two representative embroidery techniques: running stitch (left) and satin stitch (right).

Based on five original paintings by Mr. Okamura, a total of ten embroidery artworks have been produced under his close supervision, incorporating a variety of color expressions.

These works will be exhibited and available for purchase at Mr. Yoshiki Okamura’s solo exhibition to be held at Isetan Shinjuku from Wednesday, April 30 to Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
